My 8-9 year old Dell has been giving me fits lately -- so stink'n slow, re-start every half hour or so. :x It was top of the line and loaded when I first bought it. I have a co-worker, younger guy, super computer smart, and asked his advice on buying a new one. He said, "Naw, don't buy one off-the-shelf. I can build you one bigger, better, faster for the same $." And he did! Just got it all hooked up yesterday, and it's like moving up from a 1970s VW bug to a Ferrari. And he didn't charge me a dime for his time; parts only. Cuz he loves to build computers.
