Well, since the last one went over so well I decided to have another. This time since the women from up north (namely Can'tgetupinthemorning) had a problem with the prizes I have decided to let them supply them this time.

Look closely, this should make for some interesting comments. :D

Should be no problem there :cowboy: coming up with some first rate prizes for your contest. We Minnesotans aim to please. :D Before I submit my contribution to the prize packages, I need to know if the other Minnesotans or Yanks are going to pony up on this deal. I certainly hope they do as money doesn't grow on the trees around here. Also, If I do provide a prize does it take me out of the running should I post an entry. If I am unable to post an entry, will I than be on the judges panel?

I await your reply,

P.S. How did you find out what my NA name was?

Well Missy, since you are in charge of the prize fund I think you should be in charge of the judging also. We will be suspicious if you win though! :devil2:

I think the first response was the ultimate winner. Organic scaffolding.
I'd like to meet the fellow who stacked that. If I went more than four bales, the load always exploded.

It's Misty, not Missy

Okay here goes for First Prize in the New Caption Contest:

A one month stay at the Triple MMM located in the beautiful state of Minnesota. Accomodations are nestled amidst towering pines and lakes of Northern Minnesota. This all inclusive prize package (to be used during the month of January) includes the following; Instruction and training in the use of a truck with attached snowplow, should snowfall exceed 10 inches we will include instruction on how to move said snow with tractor(remember to plug the sucker in for a few hours first before attempting to start  ). Additional training and instruction will be given in unthawing chicken waterers in bathtub, starting fire in shop barrel stove and dragging hose to stock tank and back(remember to drain outside).

The Triple MMM boasts a "state of the art" exercise facility. One does not need to worry about those pesky flabby arms after a month of hauling water, shoveling snow or manhandling a snow blower around. We also will provide proper exercise attire, turtleneck, hooded sweatshirt, down coat, snow pants, sorel boots and of course the mittens. :D

Here at the Bovine Institute, we are teaching cows how to climb ladders...

I have a couple comments,. First I see nothing wrong with the scaffold except it's not high enough. That's one taaaaaall chimney  Is that a upside down bucket in the foreground. :? Don't think the house is on wheels, the wheels look to be set out a way. And flaboy sez, it's the Wimmins from up nort expected to come up with prises. :cowboy: :tiphat: But I'm glad to offer advice. 8) 8)

Of course I will pony up on this!!
2nd prize ~
Since I am somewhat known for my fine culinary skills , second prize will be Meals on Monday for a Month and More!! These to be prepared by yours truly (me) :pretty: . Meals will include (and be limited to):

1. A turkey cooked for 3 hours at 350, then quartered and cooked at 550 in a mad panic to complete before your guests show up! :drink:

2. What you down south refer to as scrabble (new word for me). Is left over venison parts (maybe pheasant too), mixed with cornmeal and other stuff poured into a bread pan then chilled until it forms a "loaf". This is then sliced and fried. We serve with syrup, but others turned their nose up at that (db) :kid: so you can or not (syrup not included).

3. Roadkill surprise!! As discussed previously (on another thread), anything that wasn't on the road on your way to town, but is there on your way back ~ Is fair "game"! The surprise is what might be there (possum, coon, deer, pheasant, several small birds etc you get the idea). As stated previously (on another thread), family pets are off limits, but all else goes. mnmt has some fancy recipes for these  but I prefer boiling till they are unrecognizable and serving over potatoes. MMMM MM!!

4. Hotdish! Ground hamburger, mixed vegies, cream of mushroom soup and left over potato products (tator tots, frech fries, wedges ~ whatever), mixed together and poured into a cake pan. Cook at 350 it bubbles on the sides real good like. (Please return cake pan, you wll notice the name "Lena Olson" in marker on the side ~ lady from our church. I keep meaning to return  ).

5. The one you've all been waiting for......LUTEFISK!! Some refer to this fine Norske cuisene (thats how we spell it in mn), as "fish jello" ! Such defamation of a fine cultural food..... Anyhow ~ boil this lye preserved fish treat until it forms a fine sludge like substance on top and sides, slather with butter and you have a tasty treat the whole family will enjoy for sure!! (Be sure to open windows during prep and for several days afterward.... maybe a door or two and a running fan...) .

6. If there is a tie, we will discuss smelt and bars  ...... Personally I LOVE smelt, but no one cares what I like.

Also included is a handy guide of how to avoid kitchen hazards ~ includes
"Don't stick a fork into the toaster if its plugged into the wall" :stop:
"Don't put one end of the beater cord into your mouth if the other is plugged into wall (even if it is to suck off the cake batter  )"
"How to make a band aid using tape and toilet paper" :help:
and, my personal favorite ~
"Smell this ~ do you think its OK to eat?" :frowns:

So ~ there you have it!! Second prize! Keep up the good work and all this could be YOURS! :tiphat:

Third Place Prize for the New Caption Contest
(donated by mnmt and Boss Lady)

A two day ice fishing trip to Northern Minnesota. This prize includes the following:

Two night stay in a "luxury 4 hole fish house.(Location of the lake will be determined by your guide mnmt) This fish "house" boasts 4 holes in which to drop your line in. 2 rattle reels for when you need to go outside to use the "facilities". 2 bunk beds with grayish foam mattresses (almost like a sleep number bed, ya drink enough and you will sleep like a baby on it  ) No need for a fridge in here as you just stick your beer outside and keep your whiskey bottle close. A small wood burning stove that someone will have to stay awake and feed from time to time.

Proper attire will be provided by Boss Lady(she has been looking for ANY reason to get rid of this crap) Older model carhart jacket. Wool sweater with several air holes for ventilation. A pair of sorel boots with added gorilla glue(to keep em waterproof) and of course a pair of wool pants that haven't been cleaned, well, ever (these get a nice scent to them when heated up by the wood stove)

All this can be yours for Third Place! Now keep those entries coming folks!
