New bull calf has arrived. Only 117lbs. :) Sired by Limousine bull, out of BBxdairy cow. Wanted to have a heifer, but atleast calf is healthy and grows well. Well, probably the heaviest calf sired by our Limo bull. Have helped for the cow, but wasn't very hard pull.
He's born in the evening, photo was taken in the next morning.

Calf is growing well and should make a decent bull in the future. A few pics of him at almost six weeks age. he's growing like a weed. Haven't weighed him, but he should be over 240lbs now. Will wean him only in November- December. Still feel pity that he's not a heifer.

This calf yes. If he was heifer, we would wean him at 6 months age and would keep with last year born heifers. But he's a bull, so will stay with his dam until all calves weaning. Can't keep him with last year born bulls, he'll be too small and bigger bulls can hurt him. Have one December born bull calf, which will stay with dam until November-December too. It's not necessary to wean bulls earlier, while heifers need, as don't want to have very small cows, which will need to cull after the first calf.
