Beautiful cattle as always! From what I can figure out, the genetics for the white on magpie had been hiding for quite a few generations?
 
I am afraid we do not have a scale.

From reading this website I am guessing that it is the shorthorn up the genetics ladder that is throwing the colour. Or maybe the Bazadais. I am afraid I do not know.

He is already supposed to be an ox, however hubby tried to move the crush over. Which is supposed to be used for adult cattle when they are in a head bale. So of course Magpie escaped.

Then hubby went and did exactly the same thing with another calf and low and behold exactly the same thing happened.

Magpie had a ring put on a couple of weeks or so ago. He is still with his mum at the moment.

His full blood sister who is completely black is now in where she is supposed to be!!!
