cow had frist calf at 12 noon \ cant see calf veary well , but was up early look like she was nurssing \ mom and calf h ave not move from spot where she had her \ is this normal ? or shouls thay have moved around \ thanks for ans. worried

Our cows usually keep the calf from the herd for a couple days. Might stay in the same spot for a day if there is water, grass and cover. Don't worry about them yet.

Relax - Certs is bang on.

She will bring it up when she is darned good and ready.

If you want to tag and give vitamin shots - now is the time - just watch you back side - I make the wife do the guard duty while I do the the calf work. She can't run as fast as me - so she works real hard to keep the cow at bay!

I try to get them when they are just dried off.
