Nice looking bull. Horned cattle don't seem to sell very well over here how do they over in the middle of the state?
 
He is a 408 son out of the 6155s donor at Holdens. She is a full sister to 8050u. Straight herefords don't do well around here either. The crosses I have sold as steers doe fine. His main goal is to create heifers. Gert x hererford mommas are great sellers.

He will probably be fine, but you should do a google search for "CJH Harland 408 for heifers".
 
He won't breed any heifers. When I did a Google search the links I got were positive. Could you link the material you are referencing?

There were some Hereford x Santa Gertrudis around here years ago and they were good cows, but I haven't seen any in a long time. How do Hereford x Brangus do in your part of the country?

There"s been some talk over at HT that Harland was having some daughters with prolapsing problems....but at this point I've seen no evidence that is substantial enough to assume that it is genetic in nature and related to Harland. It is just as likely that the problem was environmental/management related or It comes from the bottom side of theIr pedigrees.
 
Glad to hear that Hereford U.S. Rafter S We don't see a lot of herefords over brangus here. We mostly see mixed cows with charolais over them or angus with char. People are afraid of a little ear !!!
