New bull vs old bull

Just wonderin what do you all feed a young bull (one that hasnt been turned out with the herd yet) to have him grow out, versus an older bull that you have penned up before breeding season? Nothing that is high energy I assume.. but what?

I feed my bulls a 16% cargill pellet no-medicated. New or old.

Growing a young bull out on Ranch Hand Select 14N pellets right now. I buy it through my Purina dealer.

Whatever is on hand that I'm feeding to the cows. He just gets a little more of it.
