I went and bought a Massey Ferguson 120 square baler friday and hooked to the mower, cut a field and here came the rain. I wanted to just hook to the baler so I raked a little yesterday to try it out and here comes some more rain. We need it so bad it was ok if I loose all that grass. I guess it'll dry enough in the next few days to get it baled, Should I turn it a few times first? Does anyone use a MF 120? How do you like it?

Yes sir, I would turn it a couple of times before wrapping it up. A little rain on it won't hurt it a lot. It may just wash some of the dirt off. But you sure need to turn it over to let the stuff next to the ground dry before it starts to mold.

Don't have a MF baler (if that's the brand name). Got an old Ford sq. baler and an old NH round baler. Both work but the sq. baler hasn't moved in years.

I guess any round baler could be called a MF, really Massey Ferguson. I have never been in front of a square baler only behind one picking up hay. Hay has just gotten so expensive here that it made more sense to buy a baler than pay for the 4 to 500 bales I need a year for horses in the barn. If it weren't for that round is the only way I'd go.[/img]
