Thats great! I am big fan of the Remitall Cattle myself and also I like some of the cattle at Mohican. I really like the Crittenden Bros. cattle as well. :cboy:

Vindicator, yes, good bull. Made good daughters and they milked well. Only one problem, they proplapsed. You see, I have been in the Hereford business for over 50 years, just small potatoes, nothing like Mohican or Star lake or Knoll Crest, but I had some daughters prolapse when they calved. Now, some of them, well, they were good cows and they showed no signs of prolapse. Anyway, I would say that I would like him, just watch what I breed him too. Do you like say, Enforcer 107H, Braxton Giant 1 or Justa Banner? I used these bulls in my program in the 70's and 80's. Good bulls. Justa Banner added frame and that Giant 1 bull, man, he could make some really pretty uddered daughters that milked. Enforcer 107H, brought the two together. 107H daughters, well at least mine were, beautiful uddered, good frame, and milked well. I could talk about old genetics all day. How many used Perfection? Not me, his daughters milked well, but he was proven to be a 1/4 ayrshire.
 
I raise longhorns, some registered some not, some limousin, some hereford, some brangus, big fan of beefmasters and brangus and of course longhorns

Ayrshire? I thought it was Red Holstein. Did you ever hear the rumor that Justa Banner was part Simmental?

Yes, and quiet frankly, it was proven that he wasn't. Now, Perfection was 1/4 ayrshire. Good looking bull, but turned out to be a worthless bull. :cboy:

Not in my herd. I have a few Perfection cows left. Big cows, good milkers and easy fleshing. I could handle a few more in my pastures as the ones I have are getting old.

Did yall know that Perfection passed the first 2 blood tests as pure but failed the third and was booted after that 3rd test. Another bull was in question at the same time and failed the first 2 but passed the 3rd blood test and was left in the registry. Kinda fishy if you ask me.

If you don't want to expose your secret identity you won't start up that whole Vindicator daughters prolapse nonsense again. And Perfection was 1/4 Red Holstein not Aryshire. I talked about it in length ~12 years ago with a then state PHA President and farm manager who was very much in the know then.

Dont mean to drag up old wounds, but why would a guy who has been successful in the hereford business for over 50 years want to be like a 22 year old start up.

Of course Mr. right guy does list his interest as Cattle and Girls. A little odd for a 50+ year old man, normal for a 22 year old.

Hello again everyone. Well, I am up and having coffee. I a reading here where someone believes that i am Hill Creek in disguise. Well, I think that is really funny!! ;-) I think that you all have me talking and agring with Hill Creek, because he is very correct about the Vindicators. Your talking with a person that has seen and witnessed a Vindicator prolapse. And ho wcould Hill Creek prove that, without going back through his great grandfathers notes and reading it. Everyone, face it, Vindicator had a genetic defect. He was the prolapse king of the world or called cow killer or other names. That one year, I think it was in the late 70's, picturing aroung 1977, Spring calving season, in March, cold as sin out and I am out watching this Vindicator give birth and guess what, she prolasped I mean everything came out of her and that was the worse thing I think I have ever seen before. It was like someone took and through a bunch of hog guts out into a field and laid a cow in it. Lost the cow, but saved the calf. I wouldn't use him, if someone gave me the semen. Also, there were two bulls named Graystone Hurrah and Graystone Trustee, both of them had daughters that did the very same thing. Good ole' Vindicator, don't really miss him at all.
