There are dumb questions, then there are DUMB questions. Not to mention the people who came up with them.

So, in my books, this question is, of all, THE dumbest question/comment I ever seen or heard:

"I wish cows had a way to wipe themselves. Since they don't, do the farmers & caretakers wipe them? (Probably with a hose though, right?)" (this comment came after watching a "cow pooping" video that someone with nothing better to do had to post. )

Honestly, if you don't crack up at this question I will think that you have MAJOR issues!

Sounds like a scene from the SitCom, "Green Acres", staring Eddie Albert and Zsa Zsa Gabor of the 1950-60's era.

Same mentality that some Easterners think that milk only comes in a box or bottle...no clue that cows are involved.

Cattle wiping themselves...or a "human" to bring the Charmin...just add another one to the "Darwin Awards".

Guess it's all those faux country people who bought a mini-ranchette on the edge of town...

Guess the next thing..."What kind of anti-persperant" does one use for cattle...

We know some folks with Yorkies and they wipe their little butts after they take a dump. Talk about someone that should get a life

The tail works real good to smear it all over-- maybe would should be putting absorbent wipes around their tails and change them several times a day?

I was asked a really stupid question at a petting zoo once. We had barrow pig there and he was lying on his side when a kid came up and asked "what is that thing on his stomach"? and i was like "uhhhh, that's where he pees" and then he said "oh, i thought it was like a tumor or something" And the kid was about 12 yrs or somewhere round there :o
it's amazing what some people do and don't know

They say that there is no such thing as a dumb question. I believed this until a few years ago when I was asked by the spokesman for another party during a land negotiation "exactly how many acres does the +/- stand for in the deed?". He said this in an condenscending manner as though he was trying to put me on the spot. I think he resented me cause I can read more than three words a minute.

Jogee...always amazed me that surveyors could be so precise all the way around a property, making the calls in degrees, minutes and seconds and the distance down to far less than an inch and then the last three words of the legal description was always "more or less".

At our petting zoo for our FFA, a kid asked one of my friends if his steer was a mexican horse. that was pretty funny.

Our orignial survey system was much less accurate than you folks who live west of us. Much of our land was deemed worthless during the day and no one really cared how much swamp they owned. Our deeds have specific descriptions like, "to the low water mark, to the high bushes, etc." some are downright amusing.

Another dumb question a friend of mine heard at Clemson had to do with biology. Prof, was teaching about reproduction. Said sperm was made up mostly of protein and sugar. He said a girl promptly raised her hand and before thinking asked, "then why is it so salty!?!". Class was dismissed till the next day. :lol2:

"Salty" probably withdrew from Clemson that afternoon as well and definitely didnt' leave a forwarding address or phone number.

poor gal. i can sympathize, i open my mouth and out pops something i never meant to say :o

read an email once about sperm whales and why their called sperm whales, cuz they produce X amount (don't know how much but it was a LOT) of sperm and only like 5% makes it into the female

ever wonder why the oceans so salty?
