Haven't been on here for quite some time, but once again, my family could surely use your prayers. My 16 year-old grandson died suddenly last week. His brother sent his mom a text saying he was having trouble breathing. Sent another within a couple minutes to tell her he was not breathing. The 911 dispatcher guided him through CPR instructions but it didn't help. The autopsy report listed cause of death as pulmonary embolism. They said he had a blood clot hidden behind his left knee and it apparently started to break loose and when it hit his lungs, that was it. No accidents or known injuries. Coroner said blood panels indicated a condition called hypercoaguability that causes abnormal clotting, ususlly in the lower legs, but does not normally manifest itself until after age 50 or so. Said it was most likely hereditary and that the entire family should be tested. Most have already been tested but the results aren't back yet. We are just totally devastated and the only thing we know to do, is to ask for your prayers. Bible says God won't put more on us than we can stand, but I think he has greatly overestimated some of us this time! Thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers.

Very sorry for your loss and your pain. I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through. My prayers are with you!

fit2btied, I extend my sympathies to you and your family.
The best I can come up with to say is that perhaps this is one of those times to just let it go and let God have it.
One day at a time. Sometimes just a few minutes at a time. It will get better.
I pray the peace of God cover you and your family.

I am so sorry for the family's loss. Some problems I had been pondering today seem trivial at this point. You will be in my prayers. Peace to the entire family.

Several "too young" deaths around me lately, but 16? That's terribly sad, and I pray God gets y'all through this.
If the docs NOW know this clot was behind his left knee...if a clot can be traced back that specifically, why can't it be detected before it lets loose and heads to ... My grandad likely died of a clot and I could be his clone, so I have more than a passing interest.

So sorry to hear of this tragic loss. The whole family must be reeling, especially the brother who tried to save him but couldn't. Thoughts and prayers for all of you.

I'm so sorry. Was just with two of our grandsons earlier this evening. I can't begin to imagine the pain you and your family are feeling right now. May God bless all of you.
