Had the vet out for yearly checkup.
All went well but had to handle 2 pregnant cows in alley the chute was to small and the bull just fight.

What do most of you do for this problem ?
We have a Priefert Squeeze Chute and realy like it most of the time.
We also have a portable Docter pen with headgate on but no floor and sometimes the cows push it around when there in the headgate.
Thanks for any info Jeff

We had a Priefert S01 with an auto headgate that we had the same problem with. Replaced it with a Preifert S04 and no more problems.

I have the same problem with the SO1. Cows not so much, but the old bull is tight. So much so that I took him to the vet the last time he had a foot I wanted looked at. Vet had a Powder River I think and it wasn't any better. He knocks some hair off every time down the alley. He's really good natured, but I don't blame him for not wanting to go down it, and I don't send him unless absolutely necessary. I have a turnout gate right before the chute. If he will stand there, and we can do what we need to, I just turn him there and don't put him in the chute. Too long and too big around.

I have a Powder River XL which is bolted to the strong posts at the end of the alley. I have no problem with the animals moving it around nor with the size of anything I have run through it so far.

It is a SO1 Model
Thanks Jeff
The choices are to live with it out go to the S04. I bought a new S04 and took my old S01 to a farm auction. Got more for the used chute then I paid for the new one.
