Need barn door opinions

The main barn opening is 16x16 roughly. On each side of the opening there is 4 ft of wall space. I want to put a door on there that will make it relatively weather proof, cow proof etc. a roll up door would be nice but expensive. I'm think a set of sliders. 2 8ft sections that are offset with a roller track up top. Problem is that would leave 4ft of track hanging out one side or the other.
Give me some ideas please

Is this a wood sided or aluminum/metal sided barn?
 
easiest way would be to get some 1" square tubing and build 2 swinging doors. all you will have to have is a square and 1 cross bar. then get some 29ga metal and fasten to the frame . put 3 hinges on each side. you could also frame out a walkthrough door in one of them and just buy a cheap ext door so the big doors wont have to be opened every time. I will try and snap a picture of the one we built for our fire house.

M5, that's the conclusion I'm coming to. I was trying to stay away from swing doors but....

Why not use both?? Put a 4' swinging door on the 4' sliding door. That way you can open it to 4' for a walk in door and have all your bases covered. Big swinging doors are a PITA, but they will work.
 
Hg, the opening is 16ft wide. If I did double 8 ft sliders that slide one direction, there's still going to be 4ft of track hanging off one side or the other with out any support. I either have to break down and put a roll up on it or build the swinging doors as m5 suggested.
 
I guess I meant bi-fold doors. Each door is 8' wide, you put a hinge in the middle of the 8' door. And the outside 4' door hinges onto the sliding 4' part. It's really easy to do with a metal frame.
