need advice

I have 4 heifers that I have been feeding out for my family. They are weighing 1000-1100 lbs. Called the processor of choice today and he is booked till April 1. If I hold these until then how would you feed them between now and April 1. I am most concerned about maintaining the meat quality.

Assuming they're on feed already, feed 2-3% of their body weight a day of feed and free choice hay or grass and loose mineral

that is only a little over 40 days....

and they are not that heavy now.....

Hook is recomending feeding them a little heavier than I feed my slaughter steers....but nothing bad will happen from feeding them there and they should be fat and tasty.....
