My Prayer

Dear Father, I toil in the field to earn my bread by the sweat of my brow as you would have me to do,
But Dear Father, the rag weed maketh my labors a torment.
The yellow spore burneth my eyes,
My nose runneth over.

Dear Father, I have found no merit in this terrible weed,
I come before you in the light that you have a plan for everything in the Universe,
But Lord, I have found no good in it.

Dear Father, I pray that you will find this weed an abomination and admit that we all make mistakes.
Dear Lord I ask in your name, Smite it from the earth.

Amen

PS: Dear Farther while you are considering the above prayer, I pray that you might also rid us of Honey Locust, Cockleburs, Horseflies, and mosquitoes.

We brought it on ourselves.

Genesis 3
17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’

“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”

Inyati you make that sound like King James himself wrote it. Is that middle english or old english? I asketh in pure sincerity. :lol2: :lol2:

Can we include grasshoppers??? We got a gazillion of them over here right now, hate em. They have eaten all the leaves from my apple trees, taken out my Silver Maple tree, and are all over the side of the house and screens on the house.... And they jump on my arm when I mow... Yuck!!!!

Dear Lord,
Please help people stand behind Rick Perry with great strength; to show that the Republican Party is not dead, and that the Liberals are not going to destroy the people or our 2016 election as it is beginning to happen.

Help Ted Cruz to stand strong, and call on the Godly people in our government to protect our country, to stop the destruction as our present administration has planned. This is the beginning of the election downfall; they cannot convict and jail each great candidate that may run for office, as Rick sent the National Guard to help at the border, and it was expected the Obama administration would try attempt to destroy him.
We need your strength more than ever now, help us turn this country around.
Amen

I've always found the prayer that asks not for an easy life, but rather strength for the one I have to be more effective. The mind that needs changing is mine not God's. I hope this response is not too serious, I do get what you're saying. :)

Tell me more about Rick Perry From where I sit, he seems like a great one. What is he lying about? What problems do you see him creating? If they are there, I want to know.

Well the one that comes to mind first (I see the results everyday) is the toll road authority. The state (Mr. Perry) was going to toll SH249 and the citizens forced a referendum and voted it down. Guess what, toll booths are going up as we speak. And the management of the toll road is not even a US company much less a Texas company.

Next, the trans texas corridor was hatched by Mr. Perry behind closed doors and foisted on to the citizens without so much as a discussion. People didn't even know what was going on until the state started buying a ONE MILE WIDE Right of WAY across central Texas. When the proposal became public seems not even a single local (USA) contractor won a bid for any part of it. ALL outsourced!!!

Next, eminent domain. When the supreme court ruled in favor of eminent domain Perry said "not in Texas". Great words but nothing happened.

Now I understand he's been indicted for illegally trying to force an elected official out of office. Don't know all this story yet but just one more twist in his panties.

And the list goes on and on.

Lavarancher, I appreciate you telling me this.
I can like a man because sometimes I do not know what wrong he has done. But I am not closed minded and I want to know the truth. Some people make their mind up about someone, refuse to hear the bad, and still stick with them no matter what.
If Rick Perry is not the man that is portrayed to the rest of the US, then we deserve to know the truth. If anyone else has something to add, I would like to know.

That's quite evident. have you ever been on a grand jury?? It's headed up by the "DA" . Guess who got the DWI?? The DA....I can assure you that whatever the DA (or his assistants) recommended the grand jury went along with. Served 6 months twice in my life on grand juries and have never seen one apposing vote to whatever the DA recommended. The whole thing is pure horseshyt. Guess we can indict BHO if he ever vetoes something. BTW the DA in this case should be picking up cans for a couple of years and disbarred.

30 years from now Texas will have the TransTexas Corridor just to handle north and south traffic. I-35 is being widened to 6 lanes and will be at capacity when opened so look for more lanes to be added. yes farmland will be lost. Commercial businesses will lose their land but compensated well...eminent domain has been the law in Texas for generations. Don't have to like it but it is the law and if they want it badly enough they will get the land one square foot at a time. How do you think Jerry Jones got the land for Jerry's World and that is not even a government entity. All you can do is hold out hoping to get a little more money.

Anybody wanna make a bet on whether or not this DA get's re-elected??

Gonna depend entirely on who you talk to, their party affiliation and whether or not they have an axe to grind or do or don't have papers.

I live in Texas and Rick Perry is not a good thing. Even the anti-Obama people don't like him.

That is not entirely true or he would not be the longest serving governor in the states history.
Hard to stay in office that long without the majority vote.
