Well, McCord just had a K-8 school, at the time. There hasn't been any school there for at least 15 years. We finished High School in a nearby town. There was 14 of us that graduated then. Now a lot of the classes don't even have 10 kids and it is drawing in from a much bigger area. The school my kids go to has about 100 kids. The next nearest schools run in that 50-75 kids. That is K-12.
We actually have a health clinic (3 times a week I think) that is about 15 minutes away (we measure everything in how long it takes to get there, not so much by distance ;-)) But our nearest centers that have a Hospital, full time Dr's office and dentist are an hour, and it is 2-3 to the big Hospitals that can take care of most everything. If it is something serious they will stabilize you and then send you on.
We do actually have daylight here, sometimes in the winter you wonder though, the sun is only in the sky for about 9 hours in the heart of winter. Piped in sun would be nice about then :banana:
