Check the stud herds for new calves.

Have to come home from the sale then back to town for an evening shift at our local hospital till 11pm. Then up again at 5.30am for work at 7am.

My day today.
Feed the show cattle.
Check the cows that are to calve,
Put out some round bales of hay,
Do some book work, (tax time and Business Activity time has come around for us Australians)
Go to town for a few minutes
Have to go to work tonight at 10.45 pm till 7.15 am,have 5 night shifts this spell. Don't care much for night shift, summer time for this shift is better as it leaves you more time in the afternoon to do outside work before it gets dark. Winter time the days are too short.

Got them and the pain killers too....woo hoo!

The cattle are on their way to Brisbane 300 ks away, show starts Thursday, judging Thursday afternoon. They'll be coming home Sunday after a successful outing hopefully.
Will let all know how we went at the show and how the US judge performs. He's judging the Shorthorn,South Devon and Devon breeds.
Board posters that know about the Shorthorn breed say he is OK.
at least he won't know any South Devon breeders so he will be impartial.
