My black baldy cow

I like to see pictures of others cattle. Here is a picture of my favorite cow Lucy.

I think she has a little simmi in her along with Hereford and Angus. She is bred to a Red Angus now. I'm curious as to what color it might be? This is her present calf April.

I am trying to decide what to breed her to this summer, any suggestions?

You're gonna' get a lot of advice - mine says this girl crosses with almost anything. Just make sure the first calf is a light weight.

Thanks, I wish I had a few more head. We only have 2 cows and their calves and the two hereford heifers. We are trying to get the land back into production so we can run a few more head. We just raise them for fun, don't have the land to get into it big time. We raised holstein bottle calves for awhile they are very abundant around here. We raised four holstein steers and one of our own herefordx steers together and boy what a difference in body type. When they went to the butcher, the herefordx had two inches of fat on him. The holsteins take alot more feed to grow out, but that's what's available around here. They taste real good though.
This is The herefordx steer his mom is the cow above, Lucy, and the sire was a Select Sires bull named GAF Mr. Pacman. We have a half of him in our freezer now.

These are the holstein steers the same age as the beefer.They are 16 months in the pictures.

Growing up on a Dairy Farm, a beefer was anything that wasn't one of the 5 dairy breeds. Well, 6 if you include the Milking Shorthorn.

The black baldy steer is out of the cow in the first post. She's angus,hereford and simmental crossed. Don't know her exact pedigree, bought her as a yearling and never asked. She was AI'ed to a Hereford bull named GAF Mr. Pacman and that's where the steer came from. It was her second calf. Her current heifer calf, pictured above, came from a cross breed bull , simmi, angus, hereford, that we bought last year for $500. Used the bull because we didn't have anything set up for catching them to AI them. Was able to sell the bull to a friend for that same price. This year we were all set up and they were bred AI. I don't really like having a bull around, we have two young boys and don't need to worry about a bull. Besides with just four to breed buying a bull isn't feasable for us.
