I listed my Krone BP 128VFS baler on Big Iron.

I put a new compressor pump and new slip clutch on it in 2017. Rebuilt the pickup head about 5 years ago. Last year it got new tires and a new valve block. Bearing On Plunger Bar Is Out, Plunger Out Of Line, Fins Bent, Not Operational.

It will be interesting to see what it sells for. A buddy of mine suggested that I trade it off last year, but I thought everything is working why not keep it another year.

What size tractor do you need to pull a baler that big? Did you decide it wasn't worth the time and money to fix it?
When I first started I pulled it with a 2745 Massey Ferguson that was turbo charged. It pulled it fine, but I had to roll the plunger back; it didn't have enough hp power to turn it over otherwise. My 7130 Case IH seems to have plenty of power; it has been tuned up to 225hp. That is what the dealer I bought the tractor said it dyno'd at when I bought it. I made the put it on the dyno before I bought the tractor.

Yes I didn't feel it was worth me putting anymore money into, and it was going to down and out all summer if I decided to fix it. Had I to it all over again I don't think I would buy that baler. After I bought it I learned that that model did have some issues.

Not many s
Big square balers around here. The farmers down the road have one for wheat straw but I've never seen them use it for anything else.

The old Krone sold the other day. I was expecting to get about $1000 out of it. Ended up getting $3600. I did a bit better than what I thought would. Big Iron gets 16%. It will be going down to Chihuahua Mexico.

That was a good surprise for you. I’m glad that worked out. I’d say that would be a pretty good haul bill for the buyer to pay to get it down to them too.
