I have seriously thought about not having a bull. I try to AI all my cows but I was glad for his help on a couple this spring that I just could not figure out their estrus cycle. But that is another story.

I enjoy my bull. I like to watch him. I like to hear him. I am way back in the hills as TT can tell you. It is fun to watch him wondering around the ridges. Now and then, we sit down on a lonely ridge top with my dog Blue. I can tell those two boys things I would not tell anyone else.

I swear if you don't stop inseminating those cows and let that bull have a turn I'm turning you in for some kind of animal abuse Inyati!

Poor old SOB, the bull, not you....LOL!
 
All of our Hereford, Fleckvieh, Gelbvieh and Red Angus bulls are in the same place, except our clean up bull that's with the cows. Sure are a lot less destructive that way.
 
AI is the most affordable way to bring in quality genetics for my smaller herd. I can match up the bull and cow for the best possible outcome. :D
