That heifer lives on a farm in Cameron, Missouri---but
I wish she were ours!!

OK Jeanne,

Will the newsletter be posted on the Murray Grey Association website soon?

Thanks

Sorry to say we send out printed copies only. I will be glad
to mail one to you!

Regarding a previous question on how Murray Greys
do in hot weather:

We have members of our association/breeders in LA, FL,
all parts of Texas, Florence, KY, and Bartlett, TN. It
generally gets pretty hot here in SW Okla; this year so
far it has been exceptionally cool for the season(and WET).

The light color, I believe, lets them do better in the hot sun
than a black or very dark animal. Just try putting on a black
shirt and stand out in the sun in 100+degree weather and
you'll see what I mean. Some Murrays are light chocolate
to dark hershey, even a few black ones. But we prefer
the light silver and I believe it helps in our hot climate.

Anyone else that wants a newsletter, just send me a
private message & I'll get it in the mail.
