After the deluge last night I will have to disturb Mrs. Wren to break out the Massey to
put the driveway back together. Mrs Wren has the second set about ready to leave the nest anyway.
Power was out for a while heck of a light show here last night.
Since selling down got grass shoulder high on Obama going to help the neighbor move some of
his over tomorrow. By help I am going to unlock my gate and lock it back when he is through.

Got 3 1/2" before midnight here. If I knew how to post video, I got some of last night's lightning. (avi format)
This one was not a wind event tho, and we did need the rain.

I used to always get wren nests in the cross tube on the loader. Now Ikeep a plastic bag shoved in each end. So now they build the nests in the shop behind cabinet doors if they are open a crack.

Had them build right on top of the water pump and in the radiator shroud of various tractors before. Made a heck of a mess and noise when ya start it up. Got some kind of bird here that builds nests out of little twigs and sticks--no grass or hay of any kind--they just use twigs. Them kind will tear up a radiator and did on my old Leyland. I was pretty pizzed about it.

That will be the Texas state bird which is the Mocking Bird they will play hell with all of your fruit, never have really thought of it but they are a good selection for Texas. They will also sit on top of the steering wheel or the vertical exhaust and crap on everything below.

Got one there on the NH.
This place is bird heaven, the Mrs. loves her birds.
I have no clue or do I want to know what is spent on bird food.
She has a set of binoculars with a camera built in.
I am very informed on Painted and Indigo Buntings as well as Scarlet Tanagers
and many other associated feathered creatures.

Bird watching ain't so bad Caustic. Way better than her watching Oprah.

I've sort of enjoyed watching all those little humming birds out of the kitchen window with my coffee in the morning. Please don't tell anyone I said that tho.
