Weld a ball on either side of your tractor bucket rather than the center (makes it easier to see where you are going) and you may have different sized hitch balls anyway. When you need to move a trailer be it a gooseneck or bumper pull you just drive your tractor up to the trailer, lift the bucket/ball up under the hitch,lift and fasten the hitch, and it's then able to be moved easily without having to get the truck out to do the job.

It just comes in handy sometimes when your needing to move a trailer quickly while mowing around them or whatever.

Neighbor welded a ball on the 3 point hitch on his big Case. Got real wet here one spring and that was the only thing that would make it down the lane to his pastures. Gotta be careful when turning real sharp, and you have the back glass open, or you will no longet have a back glass. :eek:
