Moving Cattle to different states

I am going to buy some young cows from my Mother. She lives in AR and I live in KS and I was looking at buying the cows this late summer or early fall. When would be the best time to move the cattle to get them adjusted for winter here? What all will i need to haul them from state to state?

Moving them late summer/early fall should do. You will need a health certificate from a vet; the vet can tell you the requirements your state has for movement from AR to KS.
