Moved Meadows

Help Support CattleToday:

Couple guys needed a weekday off so I was on a rake for the day. It had rained during the night and was cloudy most of the day but was warm with a little breeze. Got 99 more by time the baler ran out of raking.9CC37D36-8E88-4106-A7DB-FA7E11C727FD.jpeg241C5B91-5A41-471F-A136-E58505617E39.jpeg5719CC56-C5CF-4EB1-BF72-6D6BF69DEF9A.jpegE41CE35E-1BA3-41C7-B86E-F7A7CD299A37.jpegE35721FA-B473-4A58-993A-0329E6E6A9E7.jpeg2DD6AC6D-8715-48F0-98B4-561421BD4217.jpeg

Finished C2 Meadow several days ago, moved to home place. Two meadows done and last five hours cutting left for tomorrow. Have been in silage bale mode for last four days. Still have 30 acres of OPBW to cut and bale for silage. Not much there as it has been dry.

Have moved a couple more times. Finished baling last field at 11 last night. Guess it is time we do some fencing before freeze up. 3040 bales for this year's total.

I finished baling yesterday and cleaned everything off and put it away for the winter. Not many bales this year due to the drought, but glad for what we have. It's also time to look at tearing out some old fence that is on the ground and putting in new before winter hits and cows all come home. Fencing is my least favorite thing..😐
