Well, we had a late freeze overnight. I'm sure the warm season grass is going to appreciate that.......not. Our wsg has been slow to green up due to lack of meaningful rainfall. This sure won't help things. On the bright side, we met a buyer through a friend from church for the yearling heifers we will probably have to sell. there's always something to be thankful for!

Big frost here last night

I am trying something different this year.

I normally do a kill early, and then fertilizer, then cut my Bermuda. My first cut is normally around June 1, +/-.

I did not kill off the undesirables (Italian rye, white clover, and some other stuff) this year. I hit it with 300 pounds of triple 19 about 3 weeks ago. I will cut as soon as we get dry, and maybe get 30 bales off my 15 acres. 80 bales per cut is VERY good for me.
