PETA told to cease knockoff "Got Milk?" campaign
According to the Western United Dairymen, attorneys for the California Milk Processor Board recently sent a letter to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals demanding an end to a publicity campaign that asks, "Got pus? Milk does." The milk board said there is no truth behind the campaign and that it is a trademark violation. If PETA does not stop, CMPB says it will sue the animal-rights group

It is so hard to win against PETA, cause for them there is no such thing as bad publicity. I'd guess they would welcome the lawsuit and would try to get it covered by every media outlet.

yep better to ignore them and let people make up their own minds based on reality, suing them just backfires and gives them more attention
