Afternoon, Texas Longhorn Cattle friends! (critics welcome also...lol)

We've just activated another website: www runningarrowlonghorns dot com (hosted by Hired Hand Software) which has a lot of photos as well as pedigree charts. (we still have our other website: www runningarrowfarm dot com).

For me, too much of a hassle to load photos on Cattle Today Board... :(

Anyhoo, come visit us and enjoy the "Show"!

I was thinking last night I sure missed the Longhorn pics that used to be on here. I really like that breed for what they did in the past an what they could do if the world went to :bs: an we didn't have the things to care for cattle the way we do now.
 
That's a nice website. Is the Hired Hand software have templates that you use to design or does someone design it for you?
 
Hired Hand Software has a number of templates to use. You work with their representative to customize (e.g., colors, type styles, masthead, etc.) a given template for your operation. Then, you can start building your site before going online. When you're ready, you notify them and you're online. Updating is simple, WYSIWYG in realtime and you do it yourself.

You will need to get your own Domain Name from any provider so their representative can activate the HH system to your domain name. The HH database has hundreds (thousands ?) of historical Sires & Dams that automatically link to yours for several generations of ancestors.

The package also has a comprehensive statistical reporting that will tell you about viewers to a given page and such.

My wife does the Hired Hand site. As far as I can tell it is much more comprehensive and showy than our other site.

Lateral Horns are those that primarily grow horizontal with very little curve or twist.

Definitions:

Tip To Tip: Measurement from "tip to tip" on horns (as the crow flies).
Total Horn: Measurement along the back curve of horns from one tip to the other.
Poll or Base: Measurement around circumfrance of athe horn base at the hair line.
Composite: Total of all above three measurements.

Also, those on the North Eastern Coast would have been eating sheep, goat, hog, etc., without the millions of LH's driven on trails to the Rail Head to supply BEEF to the Yankies for many years...LOL!
 
I appreciated your pic of the medina gate on your old web site. A pic is worth a thousand words when you are explaining the method to someone.
