How do you like the new saddle? How does your horse like it?

That's what my wife rides in---she loves it. Her horse actually seems to like a regular western saddle better.

I love the saddle. My horses are good with it too. That bay really walks out under it. I got it fitted to fit my horses though, so there is no pinching or major pressure points. My Westerns were all too narrow for most of the horses I own.

They are just a replacement for metal shoes. You can put them on when you need them and take them off when you don't need them.

So as a rule your horses go barefoot? I like that.

I have a set of those "footwear" for my horses..love them for some things. Have found they are HORRIBLE for going through water or any mud that was above the top of them. water and Mud got inside and then they slipped around on the hoof and the horses were not very surefooted. Have you had any issues with them?

Yes, the horses are all barefoot here. We don't have much rock where we usually ride, it is all sand so they usually don't need shoes.

I just started using the boots this month. So far I really like the kind that the roan is wearing (Easyboot Bare), they seem very secure. But we haven't really used them in much mud or water yet. The regular Easyboots, I don't really like. Maybe in mostly dry conditions they would be good but they seem to come off pretty easily.

How are your feet at the end of the day in those stirrups. They look narrow for the bottom.
I used Easy Boots on my mare when I was on the Sheriff's Posse. Mud, snow, ice, grass, glass, they were the best as they covered the soles of her feet preventing any road trash from poking her. What are the velcro straps up around the ankles? Looks like they would rub a sore.

The stirrups are actually quite wide on the bottom. No different and maybe better than a lot of western stirrups. The velcro straps are the gaiters, they help keep the boot on the hoof and dirt/rocks out of the back of the boot. I haven't had problems with sores yet, and I don't think that they would cause one.
