More cow work.

Why Ivomec out of curiosity? Lice? Can they pick up internal parasites when the ground is frozen?

Got busy again today besides chores, a little sorting and Ivomec on 100 young cows and 100 heifers calves at home. 275 cows left to do at Morrison Meadow in next day or three. Unloaded hay truck twice and chores in between. 550 bales we purchased from neighbors are all here now. Was an awesome sunny day!IMG_4193.jpegIMG_4197.jpeg

For general interest, this group of heifers came from the Gang Ranch, owned by Douglas Lake Cattle Company now

what is that piece of equipment in the lower left of top photo? like a pipe on a tripod with two wheels...

segue: i saw something you posted elsewhere. can not find it now so i hope is okay if i just jump in here..

you mentioned 'chaps' pronounced (correctly) is 'shaps'. how would one pronounce chinks?
know of anyone who ever used them?
Chaps are pronounced "shaps" and chinks pronounced just like it's spelled. I have a pair of chinks and wear them on long rides or when a little wind protection is necessary and at rope and drag brandings. We don't have much brush here, so a full length pair of chaps aren't necessary. Chinks are lighter in weight since they only cover to around the knee.
