i mispoke in my early comment. Didnt realize it until one of the guys in the office pointed it out to me. Some of the amino acids and peptides are by-passed through to the small intestine. a good majority of them are utilized by the microbes in the rumen. We show a total of 15-20 percent being pasted through to the small intestine while having 80-85 percent of Rumen Degradeable Protein.
 
The major aa that are in it are lysine methionine threonine isoleucine and valine. When they go directly into the small intestine they can be used be the body to generate more milk, meat, repair repo tract, etc. so bascilly increase production.
