Missed Us

But I have getting tons of FB reports from friends who got hit yesterday. Gotta realize Montana does not normally get storms like this.

I was at work when this sucker went to the west of town. Took my pager in that day just in case and boy was that thing going nuts. Baseball size hail got a couple of sheriff's cars. Friends uncle lost 80% of his crop. Another friend lost they TV tower plus their green house and part of their fence and a piece of the fence took out a window on their house. :(
Reports of roofs being taken off or parts being torn off. Heard about a shop door being ripped off. :(
Another friend posted some really terrifying pics on FB. They had the clouds rotating right over them.
Family was at home watching this storm and not a one of them thought to grab the camera and get some pics! :(

Pager just went off and we are now back under a tornado watch til 11pm tonight. Oh Sh*t!

Tornado's missed us!
Along with most of the hail. Got a few ice rocks but not enough to damage anything.

One tornado was north of us and heading straight for a town. Luckily it lifted before reaching town. Fire department is out right now checking on people and roads. People are calling in and reporting that they are fine. Have power poles and lines down across roads though.

Boy was that scarey! That sucker missed us by around 3 miles! We were darn near ground zero for that.

No it is not usual at all!

What really scared me was I was making my report as a weather spotter when the bolts of lighting started hitting around us close. I headed for the house the meteroloigist told me to head for our basement and to stay there til the storm passed! That scared me pretty badly.

I had once been making a report when a bolt of lighting hit the hill across from me and I yelled Holy Sh*t in that poor guys ear. We both laughed about it, but that scared me being told to go underground.

Glad it missed ya'll. We had some bad weather yesterday ourselves, the hail was bad but the 4" of rain was good.

I was in Great Falls on monday, that was some scary stuff! Glad it missed us, i heard Stockett got nailed pretty bad by the hail as well as friends in Simms that said they got a good bit of golf ball size hail. Glad everybody is ok!
