Three weeks ago a friend of my dads had someone drop a Walker Coonhound puppy on his property and he and the neighbors was gonna shoot her and I told my dad dont you let those stupid people kill that poor innocent dog. Well I went to git her and she was a beautiful full blooded Walker. Well she didnt look pregnant and a week ago I went to check on her and she had a beautiful little walker pup. Can you imagine if someone was to shot her they would have killed that poor innocent pup?

Bout a year ago I went to bed one night and heard some noise near the bedroom window but didn't think much about it. The next day there was this cute little pup trying to get out from under the house. He couldn't have been more than a few weeks old but we kept him. He is a BlackMouth Cur and is probably the best dog I have ever had. Guess someone dumped him out by the road and God knew right where to guide him.

syork are you going to keep mother and baby? Don't know how people can do that to animals. Makes me so 
if you can't cope with an animal there are places you can take them, where they will be looked after and rehomed. RSPCA is our centres what's your equivilant.?

Yes I am keeping mom and baby both. I havent figured out what to name the little tyke. Hes gonna be a beautiful dog with him being a full blooded Walker. This puppy is my first Walker pup ever so hes not going no wheres hes home sweet home.

Last year a puppy took up here at the house. I didn't know what he was. John(a man that helps me out around the farm and knows a thing or two about coon dogs) said "that's a Treeing Walker, he'd cost two or three hundred dollars." After a few days of no one claiming him( I though he might have slipped away from somebody while they were training him), I gave him to a friend across the creek that likes to hunt hounds. Now, I sort of wish I'd kept him. My 11 yr old son read "Where the Red Fern Grows" this summer and is wanting a couple of coon hounds. So, now I'm looking around for a couple of Redbones.

Our road used to be dog dump road..Id have strays all the time.
We have a rent house down the road from us and the white trash that lived there moved out, leaving 2 puppies to fend for themselves. Neighbor told me he was catching one stealing his dog's food. Went over and saw one had died and the other barely alive. Brought her home, fed her and we still have her. Shes some sort of hound, we call her lulu and she is the sweetest, most protective dog ever.

The other day I was driving down the road and i seen some thing move on the side of the road it was black and so tiny. I pulled over and it was a cute little black bob tail kitten. Well i scooped him up and brought him home hes on my computer desk as i type. :roll:

syork you sound a person alike my own heart, I'm a sucker for a stray, but only have two cats at the moment as my Husband has put his foot down. but I'm sure he would let me keep a black cat as they are his favourites, I had a bob tail when I was a kid he was more like a dog than a cat. Just loved that cat.
