Sudex or haygrazer as we call it will outperform millet hands down.
Millet will last longer without water.....Millet seed is cheaper.....but you need a small seed box planter......

Millet does very well broadcast and lightly covered.

Seed cost is quite debatable. Haygrazer seed at 22.00 per hundred 75 pounds per acre.

Pearl millet is 150.00 per hundred and 20 to acre...purty close.

:D had a small brain farted on the millet cost, but it is a few bucks less....on a few acres doesn't amount to much savings....till you get to fertilizer. But then, if your wanting tonnage you should go with haygrazer, open your wallet and pray for rain.
