Middle Tennessee cattle farmers

I have been advised by more than one person on here to go to cattle sales to get my feet wet. Can anyone in my area give me soome ideas where I can go to cattle sales? Also, what do you wear to a cattle sale? :lol:

Wear what you wish. Most will be in jeans and sweat shirt(cottons).

You may want to visit the Dickson, TN Market. Good number of cattle there on Tuesdays. Sales start at about 1:00 P.M.. Wilson County Sale Barn on Hiway 70 in Lebanon is another real good one too. They sell every Thursday.

Wear whatever you want. Tuxedos are preferred.

You Tennessee folk are Soooo classy. The auctions in my area stick to 'business casual' attire. A tie and a jacket for the men, dresses and hose for the ladies. They keep some ties in the office if a prospective sucker (I mean bidder, sorry) show up without one they can loan him one.

I don't know where you are located but McMinnville has a good feeder calf sale, Woodbury has 2 sales per week. Allot of single animals there. Manchester has a sale on Tuesdays at 1pm. Uninionville has a good sale as well as Savannah.
