We are getting dry , thankfully we have an abundance of grass .This one was born same day as the one above.
Cow is an F1 SimAngus, calf is 3/4 Angus.
We are dry here so having to run water a couple times a day. I'm alternating between feeding some grain and already putting out some hay.
The calf in the hay is probably about 2 weeks old. It was running and stopped and the camera caught it in a posture about like our dog when she's guarding her food.View attachment 61265View attachment 61266

Thank you. That cow is just under 4 years old and that’s her 3rd calf. She’s the youngest daughter out of one of my last registered Angus cows. Her mother was a daughter of the Hoover Dam bull. You have a good eye for cattle. That top cow is a little heavy for my taste, but only a little and she looks like an easy keeper anyways. Nice animals.
