Merry Christmas from Australia.
The seasonal conditions have changed quite markedly in lots of Australia in the past few weeks. Good rain has occurred in lots of areas. Our area has been quite fortunate right through the dry. It hasn't been as dry as lots of other parts. Travelled to Brisbane about 300ks to our north east last week. The part of the Darling Downs that I went through has gone from bare ground to lush green,since I last went through the area about 3 months ago. Most of the good falls of rain have come in the form of storms so it can be variable. Helen and I spent most of yesterday fixing fences across flats and watercourses after a deluge of upwards of 5 to 6 inches up stream of some of our country. We still have some floodgates to do,cattle have locked out of paddocks adjacent to these areas that have to be yet fixed. More rain is forecast over the next few days.
