The worst thing that could of happened to us IMO was the artificial high the 2011 drought created along with a downturn in the global economy.

Prime 4 wts should be in the 2 dollar range to match the economy and operating cost.

I agree. Producers have neither the leverage nor the influence to get their "fair" reward.
We live during a time in history when "voodoo" economics rule. Interest rates, currency values, inflation, etc. are manipulated by every world government from lowly Zimbabwe to the United States. As a result, in the US of A, the producer whether it be beef or corn, rolled steel or coal, sheet rock or lumber, gets screwed. No doubt about it. If you and Bigfoot go through your costs like Intel looks at their's, I doubt you are meeting expenses. First example, do you consider that your land even if paid for is tieing up CAPITAL. That is a real cost. If that capital were invested in Cisco or General Electric would you be making more?

4wts. are bringing about $180 pretty handy right now (I'm on our Wyoming ranch at the moment), bought a load of steers for Fall delivery today, $180 at 440. What are you seeing down in that East Texas country?Caustic Burno":2yk2kanp said:Bigfoot":2yk2kanp said:I'm fairly pleased with the prices I'm getting (assuming the calf matches what the market demands). Also, what sort of operation do you have that won't be here by 2035?
Outlooks and strategies are of great interest to me.
