I just finished 2 books on the Alamo.
Both were good reads.
What these people went through was hard to imagine.
Much respect to those who fought and died.

Yep, the Alamo sadly fell on March 6.
March 6 (today) is also my M-I-L's 83rd birthday.
Coincidence?
Well, I was truly tempted to play El Deguello for her as she blew out the candles.
(there are 2 versions of that music..one is the best known & slower version from the original John Wayne Alamo movie, Rio Bravo and ZZ Top.
The other is faster temped and includes drums and is generally a march. From the Alamo movie with Billy Bob Thornton.
