We have a couple litters of fox around this spring. They are cute and unafraid of us and machinery. Then one of the dogs came up with mange. It so happened one of my sons and grandson ran one fox down that had a bad foot. The fox pup was covered with mange. I did some reading and mange is species selective but can be passed among canines. I read Ivomec worked for mange so I used it pour on 1 ml/10 lbs. I had cattle pour on so I used it as pet Ivomec is same strength. It worked very well but in some dog breeds Ivomec can be lethal. Just a little info for what it's worth. farmguy

We mix 1/2 pour on Ivomec and 1/2 91% alcohol in a spray bottle and MIST our puppies about 2-3 times a week. Usually prevents any skin and hair issues. On the rare occasion we’ve had an issue with demodex(red mange) which is typically transferred from mothers to nursing puppies, we use Bravecto, which is a wonderful drug. Sounds like you probably were dealing with sarcoptic mange, which is much more readily transferred, but is also curable with Bravecto. Pretty sure you’ve already remedied your problem but this may help you or someone else.
