Guys I'm wondering what's the benefits to castrating a bull calf. Besides probably temperment and no accidentally breeding. I'm wondering about growth more so.
About a dime a pound premium when you sell. Meat is generally more tender. Most tests show that bulls will grow a little faster but not so much in my opinion if you castrate early. If you sell at a sale barn, don't let them get to big with nuts or you will get docked severely.
