Id Stay away from him Dont like what i have seen out of him

Last year I gave a scathing review of ML from a picture of him out on cows in the heat of summer. I didnt think he was all that he was cracked up to be. I recant. I was wrong. No bull is perfect and I'm yet to see a stinger bull calf but I have seen some heifers that weren't only good , they were the best. While I can't personally comment on his use on heifers I will say the bull is one that I wouldn't stay away from . He has value. I'm not a number man but his numbers have improved IMO since he has been used. I'll be the first to say that alot of the stud bulls are there because of the brand on their hip or their EPD's alone without enough consideration to the animals quality. Major Leagues heifers , if they milk, can improve the RA breed. Again in my opinion there will be a son of his turn up that can contribute to the breed as well. I'm not trying to be contradictory Redangus 121 just clarifying my previous statements.

I have seen some nice looking Heifers out of him Peiper had a Nice ML Heifers at there Sale this year didnt stay to watch her sell but looked allright. I dont like the Tail End on them

With all that we all talk about in seeing cattle for what they are why worry about EPD's so much?
I would say if you heifers don't calve to ML, I wouldn't blame it on the bull. ML does some weird things and does some things very well.
Orange to Light Red, Post legged. It looks like he won't outbreed Cherokee Canyon, but that's not saying much. The ML's are better footed by a long shot, better minds on them as well.

We have used him successfully on heifers....no assists. His current performance pedigree lists him with a 99 BW ratio on over 1500 head.

C.C has shown to have some calving difficulty's not through his calves being born but from his daughters calving. Milk isn't abundant either.
Major League doesn't appear to offer more than CC. There is a bull up here that is flat awesome out of ML. He is blood red, has a big hip, excellent foot. Short on hair is his hole today!

Never used ML and won;t use anything with CC in it's background. We used him one year. The good part was that those were the most vigorous calves I've ever seen, up and trying to nurse sometimes before the cow was even back on her feet, it was amazing. All of the calves were excesively fat and wasty. We had never had a YG 5 before, all of his calves were. We ate one heifer that had been on grain, about 1 1/2% nody weight andd pasture for 45 days. She had 2 1/2 inches of back fat.
Not my cup of tea, plus I've heard the horror storys about calving difficulties in his daughters.

Serious as a heart attack! We just butchered a Simmenthal sired claf out of the same cow. We basicly had the same feed regimine but it was 60 days and the last 30 was straight cracked corn. 1/4 inch back fat and as tender as a maidens kiss.

I am not a big fan of Major diddle but I will be the first one to admit that he does sire some good calves. We have calved out some CC granddaughters and we have no complaints. Here is a picture of a heifer calf sired by Major League and the dam is a first calf Romeo daughter.

The best Make Mimi calf I have seen came from Feddess Red Angus, he sold at his sale for somthing like $49,000 to Genex. Feddes Big Sky R9 is his name, very impressive bull I AI'd a few heifers to him and can't hardly wait to see the calves. The other bull I would look at is GMRA LAramie in the ABS catalog, he is a Cheyenne son that should be a little easier calver. The BIg Sky bull reg #1025891 and Laramie is reg #1039249 if you go to the RAAA site you can find everthing on them. They are both on my must try list for this spring breeding. Oh yea the Make Mimi offspring that I have seen look much better than the picture Accelerated Genetics has of him.
