I watched a team of percherons set back in unison one time under a steel building at the fairgrounds. The'd have pulled the whole barn down if the little Amish guy that brought them hadn't walked up and popped the lead horse in the a$$ with his cane. The next day they won the pulling contest.

What a task to harness a horse that tall. Magnificent animal but not really to practical especially in this day in time. Used to cuss some of the big belgians years ago. One thing about most percheron's is there is some get up and go in them and one like him would take a good teamster.

I had a friend in Canada that his horse Keno stood at least 18 hands hi.. lol I had to practically put my foot on my head to reach the stirrups .. i'm 5'8" and his back was at the top of my head... great horse tho..but only a one man horse.. he wouldn't move until my friend pulled him.. i was lead around like a kid at a carnival... I preferred Princess she was smaller and loved to jump ditches ;)
