At what stage of a pregnancy is lute not effective anymore? I can't remember offhand. I have some heifers that may have got bred by the neighbors bull ~3 months ago.

after 90 days.... 2nd trimester.... the fine print says 100 days, but I use 90 to be sure.

I used to background a lot of heifers. You'd better lute those things the day they arrive. Seen many aborted I'd guess to be well in excess of 90-100 days. Infact only seen it not work on one, out of hundreds I luted.

Cows can abort from a lutalyse shot at any stage of pregnancy, but the reliability goes down a lot after the first trimester.

5cc IM or 2cc IM if you're using Lutalyse HiCon.

And yes, efficacy drops so sooner rather than later.

Lutalyse 2cc IM under 90 days. Estrumate is ideal to use.

Over 90 days I use 75 personally add 4cc dexamethasone also IM.

Dex induces labor vets use to try and get cattle and horses to naturally deliver if possible.
