Low growing weed

When cutting some Tifton 85 this week I encountered a weed that has me puzzled as to what it is. It is about 6 inches tall and thick with small leaves and when cut has a milky sap that is so thick you could see it on the tractor tires. Can anyone shed any light as to what this is. This weed was in some low lieing areas that did not have any grass on it.
 
Thanks Joe I believe that is what it is. This place has 18 acres on it. First of May I cut 91 bales of Tamtbo rye grass and Crimson Clover. No Fertilizer and a reseeded crop from 2011. Tested ADF 43.87, NDF 54.68, Protein 11.95 and DIG PROT 8.86. Cut the Tifton 85 6/26/2012 60 bales with 300 lbs of 23-0-28 Fert. (588 dollars a ton) ADF 35.78, NDF 63.62, Protein 12.56 and DIG PROT 9.50. I understand the Protein and Dig. Protein but the other values are beyond me. Any looks like I could do better with the Tamtbo rye grass and clover that the tif. 85
