Does anyone know about Senipol cattle? When I win that Lottery,I want to raise them :cboy: Or Belted Galloways OrLonghorns OR---- :lol: :lol:

Don't know anything about Senepols except what I've read. I do know however that I'll be adding a small herd of Horned Herefords and Gray Brahmans to my new land that I'll be purchasing when my numbers hit. ;-)

I bought a Synagus bull last year and couldn't keep the jumping fool in the pen or pasture. I could open a 16 ft gate and he'd jump the fence 5 ft from the gate. Lost about $300 on him at the sale once we actually got him in the trailer.

Your experience is similar to mine with the one Senepol bull we bought (as a calf on his mama's side); though instead of leaping OVER things he leaped full bore into them. He never stopped running at full gallop down the alley, into the trailer, and all the way into the front inside wall of my livestock trailer. It sounded like a car crash (I thought he had killed himself!). He was going so completely nuts that I had to haul him to town by himself and come back for the load of calves I was hauling for my neighbor. Needless to say he got out of here before siring any calves.

I used to think the same thing. Now I do believe my getaway would be a big piece of property somewhere in Texas. Dont think it gets much better than that.

Thanks--want some horses too,but can't decide among Peruvian Passo,Freisan, Georga Grande,or Islandic pony..Sure would be fun tho....It's nice to imagine a world where a flat tire doesn't set me back 3 months....yeah,I know it't gambeling..but where else can you buy so many dreams for $1.00 :lol:

No debt and ~700 commercial cows. Probably 60 reg Herfs to keep things interesting. Maybe 30 or 40 reg Anguses too and 10 or 12 QH mares. Hire a manager to do the work I don't like to do (fences!) . I might be stupid, but I would be bored senseless after six months on an island!

Certainly put a decent amount into a trust for the kids,then import some more Tuli embryos from my origional bloodlines
(at least I know how docile they are!), Oh yes, and take our first vacation in22 years.

My wife and mother both tell me that I will never win because I am to vindictive.

But if I did I would go buy as many herf and angus cows as I could look at in one day and lots of land right here at home.

I dont have any ambition to travel or own an Island some where,I would just raise my kids and cows and stay home most of the time. I love watching them graze and play in the pasture.

And since Caustic is surely not his real name and he would have no grounds for suit I would Name it Caustics Hobby and Petting Farm. Our slogan would be "Cows are People Too".
