I am looking at some pre-owned tractors and would like some thoughts. All are New Holland (Kubota and Massey dealers around here don't have much inventory and are priced too high.) These are from different dealers in my area.

1. 2019 Workmaster 65- Hours 854...........$40,500.
2. 2022 Workmaster 75- Hours 1114 ........$43,000
3. 2013 Powerstar T4.75 - Hours 2183.......$40,000

I haven't gone to look at any of these yet, and I will most likely have to add 3rd function to all of them. I like the cab features of the T4.75, but the hours worry me somewhat. I can get by with a 65 hp tractor but I sure to like the extra power of the 75 hp to the PTO. Does anyone have any experience with these models and what are your thoughts on the hours on each of them?

I have a friend with pair of new hollands. A late model workmates and a larger one~95hp. The are very comfortable tractors. But I had the pleasure of helping him pull the tanks on both tractors last year due to the some contamination issues in his nurse tank. I found them absolute nightmares to work on. If you don't turn your own wrenches I guess not a concern. But it was enough to turn me off . 2200 hours can be to much or hardly anything. Depends on the tractors work history and maintenance. On a 13 year old tractor that's very few hours per year. Suggesting it probably really hasn't been worked hard long weeks. ? How many owners, how well was it maintained.
 
I live 12 miles from the dealer he checked with in Virginia. We are not crop farmers here and I actually dont know but a couple of full time farmers.
My Kubota M100X had 98 hours added to it last year. My Ford 4630 about 85, and a Ford 3610 had about 12 hours of use.
Its not common to see tractors with over 3000 hours here.

The Workmasters strike me as a stripped out, economy tractor. The local folks that I know who own them don't have a lot of positive things to say about them. According to TractorData, the Workmaster 65 has a 16.4 gallon tank - that would be a miserable deal.

Keep in mind those numbers are engine hp, PTO will be a bit less. None of them are something I'd be interested in pulling a round baler with, honestly. Just depends on your situation and intended use.

My newest tractor is a 2005 model, and I just bought a brand spanking used 1997 model Ford/NH. Personally, I have no interest in anything newer than 2010 or so - and pre-2000 is even better.
 
Didn't get a chance to go as was in hay last week to 9p every day, but they had a couple nice tractors at ProTeam Saturday I saw online. Here are the results. A very low hours 242 hrs. M7040 pre-emission tractor loaded out went high, but if wanting a 70hp tractor would be hard to beat. It went way less that new and I would rather have it than new. One of the best 70hp tractors made IMO. This one even has the hydraulic reverser.

I throwed some cheap pre bids in the night before and dang if I didn't win a couple items and barely lost out on another I wish I could have seen sale as I would have went higher. Her is one Item I got that will work on up to a 90hp 3 point tractor and for my use should work fine and not a complete unit to keep maintained. It Bush Hog 95CBH has 4100 lbs. breakout force for $2800 less than a third new. A local Amish has the smaller unit than this on a 4000 Ford and he has dug hundreds of feet of water line I have seen.

I actually bid on that Kubota. But I could not get there to look at it and was afraid of getting a "pig in a poke."

It had 242 hrs and also the high dollar option hydraulic reverser on it. These nice tractors pre emission will be no more this nice and I will say again nice. That tractor in the M7060 new is over 60k and I would rather have this one. With good care will last a lifetime.
 
I just spent about $5000 in work on my early 1980's vintage MF 2675 (it has been needing a new clutch for several years already, and while in there with the tractor split, redoing the o-rings, etc., on the 24 speed, and then I also had him turn up the fuel pump and put a turbocharger on it right away too... so we moved it from about 105 hp to about 150 hp). I already had a 2705 set up the same way (factory 120 hp... turned up to about 150), and have always been disappointed anytime I got into the 2675 because of the reduced power. Love those units otherwise though. Bought them both "almost new" about 25 years ago (2705 had 600 hours on it, the 2675 had 1400). The mechanic I had work on it is pretty much exclusive to these Massey's (that's where he started out right out of high school, when these models were first introduced... went out on his own doing mechanic work when that dealership closed, and he really knows and likes them... has quite a personal collection of them of his own). Works for about half of what the dealers want, and does a better job than the dealer, because he KNOWS these units. Dislikes working on the newer stuff because of all the electronic glitches involved. It's nice when you have a mechanic that knows every little bolt on a unit!
 
The workmaster line of NH tractors are entry level economy models. Wouldn't be my choice of seat to sit in all day.

The powerstar is a "premium" tractor with more features and a very nice cab. Much more comfy to sit in all day.
