Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I constantly have to log on to do anything. I check the box that says auto log on, and the board index will say that I am online, but the login says not. Sometimes I'll log on, check messages or post, and have to log on again. Am I stupider than I thought, or it there a trick I am missing? gs

Happens to me a lot and has for quite some time. This is the third post I've made this morning and I had to log on before each one, even though I haven't left the site. I've learned to deal with it. It can be frustrating, but not real high on my list of life's aggravations.

I'll check out the server settings but I don't seem to be having your problem so it could be something on your computer or browser causing it.

Mines been working fine, it might be on your end, make sure you have cookies enabled on your computer and its (the cookie) not being deleted on exit.

It happens to me if I go on the site from aol. If I open up Explorer and use it, it doesn't happen.

I use aol, so that's probably the problem. I also have an old, slow computer by today's standards, plus I'm still on dial-up. In other words, the problem is probably mine and not CT's.

Some things that might help if you are having a problem:
1. Make sure the Auto Login box is checked on our log in page.
2. Make sure your computer accepts cookies (it does by default).
3. Using Explorer go to your Cookies folder and delete any cookies with cattletoday in the title.
