Had my local co-op put out in combination with 24d. They had sprayer rig and spear it no problem.

Certainly a good way to apply nitrogen.
As said above usually the fertilizer dealer applies it . I have taken a couple of 330 gallon totes and had them filled. I've done that a couple of times. First time it gave my sprayer fits. After that I diluted it with water 50 percent and had less trouble.

A lot of liquid goes out here. As mentioned above you can add a little herb and kill 2 birds with one stone. Most our co-ops have 1000g spray rigs with booms you take that are pre-loaded with your mix.
Its especially popular when going for 2nd and 3rd cuts.
Only down side is it is hell on fences. I stay 30-40' off the boom from fences.

Yes.
Easy, but probably not cost effective.

I used some 20-20-20 on my hay field after the first cut. didn't get enough rain to help so it had minimal gain from other areas. I will try it again this year, hopefully I get some decent rain.
Some of our fescue fields need Nitrogen, and we will use liquid with 24D in it next week. The bermuda fields won't need N right now, so we will just use water and surficant when we 24D them.
