What is the WCF experiment station?

I have been seeing this prefix in some older bulls I was looking at. Apparently they were interchangeable with the Mile City Line Ones as they appear in the pedigrees of many L1 cattle from the Miles City Station.

I was always told that as part of an experiment to ascertain differences in environmental effect on cattle performance,mature size, ect. a like set of cattle was moved from Miles City to West Central Florida and production was compared.
